[Television makeup]: Concealer

Concealer is probably the best invention when you need one more hour of sleep or to brighten up the area around your eyes. And my advice is, of course to sleep enough first, but if needed concealers and correctors are here to help. Your eyes are very important when talking because they are the window to our soul, so it’s important to take care of their appearance as much as you do when choosing your words. The corrector and the concealers need to blend in perfectly with your skin and match the tone. Otherwise you will end up having yellow or white circles underneath the eyes when the camera & lights are on.

Shades

It depends on the colour of your skin. For example if you need to cover dark to green circles, an orange corrector or concealer will blend right away.

How to:

The right shade of corrector will adapt and neutralize colour and is best to apply it with a dedicated brush and before putting on the concealer. If you don’t have dark circles under the eyes or puffy eyes you can use only the concealer.

When to:

Whenever you need one more hour of sleep but you don’t have time for it, true story I tell you. Below some of the products I’ve tried and liked:

Estee Lauder Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer SPF 10

If it’s something that I look for when using a makeup product – foundation or concealer – is to be transfer resistant. This is important in television, but also is applicable when you go to office or in vacation, you don’t want your makeup products to stain your dress, no? Or to accidentally touch your face and leave a visible trace? This lightweight creme formula lasts all day and has a luminous finish.

Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Pen

The 3D Color Correcting Pigments inside this product are designed to work and blend on the skin to neutralize colour imperfections instead of covering them. Easy peasy right?

Sleek Colour Corrector Pallette

One of my favourite is this rainbow magic pallete that counteracts discolouration by using different colour concealer shades for eyes and blemishes. For example, green will best to cover red acne blemishes. It is useful when used as corrector under to regular concealer.

Bobby Brown Creamy Corrector

I do love this corrector that can be used under the concealer because it is so creamy. As the skin under the eyes is so sensitive most correctors or concealers will dry out the skin but not this one. Also it is humidity-resistant and helps brighten and correct the appearance of discolouration under the eyes. For examples, it will make my greyesh skin look bright while wearing it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation

Another secret is that every product can have multiple uses. For example, one of the most versatile products I know is the stick foundation. Can be used as a foundation, concealer or as a easy fix when you need to refresh the daily make-up. I recently discovered Anastasia Beverly Hills make-up and I use this creamy stick foundation in the morning when I want to look awake.
