Best days to go shopping
MONDAY
Electronics. Because you can end up with a discount of 10-20% for your laptop according to US News.
TUESDAY
Movies. Everyone goes to that new movie in the weekend. But how about going on the second day of the week. You can save almost half of the price of the ticket depending on the hour.
Meals. Just like no one goes on this day out for a movie, same is if we talk about meals out. Restaurants are more likely to give discounts on this day.
Plane tickets. No one looks for a plane ticket on this day. Too busy surviving the week and tired from the weekend before:)) Seriously now, it is also because no one wants to leave on vacation on Tuesday, they always choose Monday or the Friday.
WEDNESDAY
Discount food left from the weekend. Almost every time there are stocks left either because the shops brings to much food or the discounts are symbolic. Now you can buy olive oil half of the price or vegetables at 30% of their initial price.
THURSDAY
Clothes. Shops change their department windows and line up new stuff for the weekend ahead.
Groceries. Hypermarkets always add new stocks to their stores. The weekend is near so if you want to buy fresh salad, this is the right time.
FRIDAY
Gas, but now Black Friday deals. Not so great as there are prices that have gone up before and now the items are sold as discounted.
SATURDAY
Outwear. According to US News the discount go up to 50%. Because during the weekend, almost all of us buy party clothes or perfect for a day at the office.
SUNDAY
Gas and groceries. Most stores start they sale week on Saunday or Wednesday. And you can catch some nice discounts.
Most of these advices are tips gathered from my experience (excluding gas, because I don’t own a car) and by studying tips recommended by other financial sites. At the end it doesn’t matter the day but how well you organize your budget as to not waste all of it in one week instead of one month.
